Bellini, 6 Yechieli Street, Tel Avivby Sarit Goffen | 09.10.13
Who doesn’t know the Bellini?!
For the past eighteen years (!) Bellini has been a fixture in the Suzanne Dellal center in the magical Neve Tzedek, providing a quality Italian experience.
The rustic decor of the restaurant creates an atmosphere of a stroll in Tuscany. One can also sit on the wide balcony overlooking the beautiful Suzanne Dellal center square.
Owen by restaurateurs Ronen Arditi and Asaf Lev, Bellini is more than a restaurant; it’s a home that combines a loving family atmosphere, an attentive service with an open kitchen which the diners can watch, and a precise and quality menu.
During it’s nearly two decades of existence, Bellini has become an esteemed institute in the Israeli culinary scene.
The menu includes a variety of antipasti, classic Italian entrée’s, pasta, meat, fish and sea-food.
The wine menu is rich and varied and combines leading Italian wines with known Israeli vineyards and boutique wines.
At Lunch time Bellini serves an attractive business menu which includes a two-course meal (with a choice of an entrée or dessert with the main course) as well as a rich and creative antipasti buffet.
The Bellini menu is enticing and tempting, combining Italian classics with new and innovative dishes by dhef Amir Shuler. Amir “grew-up” in Bellini after leaving his first career choice of Industrial design. His design training and spirit are evident in every dish.
During the shoot Amir told me about the road he travelled to get to his current position, and especially the role his father plays in his aim for high standards and uncompromising quality in both the raw material and the dish plating.
He told me how his school lunch was always packed with goodies such as prosciutto and pears sandwich while all the other kids had processed cheese and tomato.
Bellini is a milestone in the Italian restaurant scene in Israel, and especially in Tel Aviv. Through the years Bellini has produced courses that joined the Italian pantheon of Tel Aviv restaurants such as: Stuffed veal escalope with grappa balsamic vinegar and honey sauce. This is a wonderful dish that many of Bellini clients keep coming back for.
