Hotel Montefiore, 36 Montefiore Street, Tel Aviv

by Sarit Goffen | 09.04.14

The restaurant, located in the entrance floor of Hotel Montefiore, is situated in the street it was named after, near Albert’s square. The hotel’s building is one of the most beautiful Tel Aviv has to offer – a preserved building from 1920.

The restaurant’s menu is that of a Vietnamese style brasserie, but the French influence is noticeable and the combination is much like visiting Vietnam while it was still part of the French indo-chin colonies.

Unlike many other hotel restaurants, the hotel Montefiore restaurant is an attraction in its own right and can very well stand on its own.

The restaurant allow for a stylish outing in all hours of the day – during the mornings the experience is more elegant and respectable while the evening have more of a vibrant and fashionable atmosphere.

The place is decorated to compliment the menu and enhances the bewitching atmosphere with dominant colors of brown-black and white. The restaurant has a dark wooden floor, dark chocolate leather seats, small palm tree plants, various silver ornaments, beautiful elongated windows, dark elliptical tables light chairs and Indian rugs. The diner is transported to a colonial experience.

Apart from the careful design, the food is well prepared, and no matter what time of day it is – from breakfast to dinner and even an afternoon tea, the atmosphere is lovely and the service impeccable.
