Topolopompo, chef Avi Conforti’s new restaurant, offers diners a unique night out. Its’ Asian-fire-kitchen utilizes various cooking, roasting and frying techniques, gathered from all over Asia and the Far East.

The aesthetics of Topolopompo is an experience in itself. Upon entering the black and gold space, you see a golden curtain of delicate chains, which hang from the ceiling – winding and twisting like a dragon’s tail. A powerful black wall, opposite the entrance, is tiled with polygonal concrete to create a 3-D mosaic; while Asian paper lanterns hang at differing heights, above the longest table in the restaurant.

The restaurant’s open kitchen has a powerful oven, whose ever-lit fire gives the impression of a dragon’s mouth.

According to Conforti, Topolopompo is an all-encompassing experience, rich with fire, the layering of flavors and textures and flaring passions. Avi Conforti’s passion, reveled in the veteran Zepra, is in full swing in the exotic, mysterious and sensual Topolopompo.

“Each of the dishes on the menu will encounter fire,” says Conforti, “but it is not only a literal fire, but also the figurative fire of passion.”

Topolopompo invites diners to eat the savory food with their hands, in a less sophisticated – but none-the-less varied – way than that of Zepra.

Chinese steamed buns, brimming with exotic mushrooms, egg, teriyaki, black mushrooms and spring onions; BBQ pork with egg, pickles, onions and fresh chili, create a mélange of flavors and textures that delight the palate during dinner.
To especially enjoy the meal use the server’s recommendations and guidance to create a meal that will suit your palate, pocket and expectations. The menu is truly varied, allows many servings to be shared and offers the option to make any dish vegetarian and vegan.

And do not miss the restaurant’s exotic cocktails or iced tea brewed with jasmine and tendrils of cucumber – it gave me energy for the day!
